Which Miller CST 280 Welder should i buy?
I've narrowed it down to the CST 280, but now I am stuck again because they give you 4 different options:
Dinse:
208-230/400-460
220-230/460-575
or
Tweco:
208-230/400-460
220-230/460-575
For now, I will be hooking it up to a 240v outlet but i'm not sure what future voltage I might be hooking it up too. I'm guessing that they give you these 4 voltage options just in case you wanted to hook it up to higher voltage. I'm also guessing 240v will work with all 4 options, but which one shall I go with for the most flexibility for a higher voltage?
And what is the difference between Dinse and Tweco? Which is better and why? Thanks everybody in advance, I am not educated at all on this.

The only difference is the plug-ins on the front of the welder for your welding ground and electrode cables. They are the same welders just different plug-ins. The Dinse connector is the one you see most in the pictures or advertisements. It is smaller than the tweco. They are both push in and turn connectors. The Tweco is the "old style" welding connector. They are are larger/heavier than the dinse connector. Tweco example - http://www.bakersgas.com/media/products/TWE9425-1200.jpg
Which one to get? I would go with the Dinse (cheaper) if you do not already have connectors. They offer the two types because of people that have been in the welding business for years might already have the tweco old style connector and don't want to buy all new ones because their twecos are still good. You will need to research the voltages a little more for which one will work for you. I would ask Miller they have an online help community - http://www.millerwelds.com/ . Good luck!
