Welder Gen

v8 gokart hehe?
i was wondering if it is a good idea for a v8 driven gokart? im only 15, and is going into grade 10, but i will be takeing metal working. i can already use a welder, and i am good with first gen motors. i was thinking just use a 305 chev with a simple 3 speed auto, or something. use regular yoke, but just cut the drive shaft and weld it again so it is shorter than usual. and use a regular diferential/rearend. and just weld up a frame for it. havnt thought about suspention, but my dads a pack rat. we go like 5 sets of springs. yea it would be illegal, but do u think it is a good idea? or just to much work?
it would be fast!!!!!!!! not very safe. but fun. i made one with a kawasaki 750 motorcycle motor before, that thing was a death trap on wheels!!! i got it up to 80mph, and had to slow down, cause it seemed like it was gonna fall apart. hehe
