how big a generator would i need to use a mig welder?
hi i would like to use a clarke en100 turbo mig welder,outdoors .and was wondering how big a generator would i need..240v how many kw and amps ?
it is for car panels..and there are no input info on the welder.or on the website or in the manual.....thanks
you will get away with with 3 - 5 KVA, given that the mig set is a baby, and will never ever give you what it says... 100amps...and, if you do get it to full power, then it'll cut out after 10 minutes due to the thermal overload...
look on the data plate for the power requirements.. and you do realise that this set isnt much good for welding anything thicker than car panels...
