Would A trickle charger not overcharge my battery?
I have a trickle charger for my airsoft gun, and I just want to know if it will overcharge my battery if left on too long.
Trickle chargers are not supposed to damage batteries if left on for extended times. Generally, a trickle charger is one that delivers 10% or less of a batteries capacity. This level is not enough to damage the battery. Some batteries recommend leaving them on a trickle charge between uses. The only exception is for NiCad batteries and it's not the charger that damages the battery. A NiCad needs to be charged and discharged on a regular basis to prevent memory effect.
None of the other batteries are prone to memory effect. The link below gives some more details.
