should i get half ton or 3/4 ton gas eng gmc truck for towing a super lite toy hauler load weight on trl ?
should be 7500 lbs. will making cross country trips. thx
I tow a tandem axle trailer with 7500 lb axles with my 1/2 ton '96 Chevy. Total towed weight is about 4500 lbs. That is about as much as I am comfortable with on my truck. The worn out 305 is really taxed at that weight. At 7500 lbs load, I would go with a 3/4 ton to be safe, especially cross country.
