How do I get my business known?

I am just starting out in my business (a performance speed shop) and I want to now if there are any other ways my business can become known and successful. I am young and want to take the world by storm so nothing is too far out of reach. Let me know what ideas you might have and who I can contact. Reality TV, Radio shows, ads, promotions whatever it may be let me know. thanks

Getting a business recognized and known is a process that starts with your reputation. Word of mouth is best because you have a satisfied customer who recommends you. I remember starting my first business and trying to prioritize all the operating expenses and avenues that I needed to explore. It can be a daunting task. It doesn't matter how well you run your business if no one knows about your business you have no sales. The yellow pages can be costly for businesses. But who uses them anymore? Newspapers are also expensive. When you start to consider TV and Radio the costs can kill you fast. People use the internet now more than ever. You might consider a web presence on the local level. It is the newest thing with the search engines. The way people search for local goods and services is to type in a search for example: performance speed shops- ( your town or surrounding towns ). First it is a lot cheaper than any other form of advertisement and secondly having a web presence gives you global audience as well. If your performance speed shop is set up to ship products this might be an idea to consider. You would need to build a website or have one built for you.
