Q6600 Quad core Gaming PC Can this Processor be Overclocked Safely?

I have just purchased an Intel Core 2 Duo Extreme PC - X1002 CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 CPU Cooler: Standard CPU heatsink & fan Motherboard: Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus Memory: 2.0GB Corsair Twin2X 800mhz XMS2 (2x 1GB) Hard Drive: 500GB S-ATA2 with 16MB cache 3.0Gb/s Two Optical Drives: 18x Double-Layer DVD+/-RW Second optical drive: 18x Double-Layer DVD+/-RW Graphics card: NVidia GeForce 8800 Ultra PCI-E 768MB Sound card: Creative X-FI Xtreme 7.1 and an 800W KingWin Modular PSU
Thermaltake Silver KALNDALF LCS with Watercooling and an LG 22in DVI Monitor and 3 Year Bronze Warranty But can this setup be overclocked safeley? I have never had an Asus Motherboard so dont know if it's possible to overclock this motherboard and cpu setup can anyone out there advise. All answers appriciated.

You should be able to clock it to 3 and leave it there if you know what youre doing and replace the fan/heatsink with the water block that came with your case. Watch your temps and first time you play a heavy game check your temps after about 5 mins. Asus makes the best boards there are and I use them in all my builds unless a customer wants to use a different board. Probably stick at 2.8 with the stock cooling especially if you have the SL9UM that runs hotter than the SLACR.
