Can A Repo Take My CAR from A Stacker Lift??
I live in a condo with a stacker lift, I think originated in NYC somewhere and my car goes up in the air approximately 10-12 feet with another car beneath. Its a hydrolic lift, so I'm wondering how can they get it without a key? My condo's garage is enclosed first of all which I know means nothing, and my car can't physically be reached if I park it on the lift and raise it by key......in the air. I'm actually like 2mos. behind $800 bucks, and they've threatened me with REPO.........any thought? The stacker site is www.aclifts.com/Parking/
I'd be impressed actually if they ripped this car off of this thing in a this tight of space. I'm on my way to pay the bank on Fri., I haven't been sleeping.
If a repo order is properly executed, and the sheriff's officers attend, they can have the owner/manager of the facility operate it. Remember, they wouldn't be ripping the car off, it is you who is ripping it off if you attempt to keep it from them after a repo order is legally issued. At that point it is no longer your car, and yes, if you drive it before the order is physically executed, it could be seized, leaving you with no ride home.
