i have a mtd snowblower model 314-180-000 that the bailer handle does not spring back .?
i replaced the clutch cable and the body throttle and also the belt but the problem is still the same
same problem. The cable was enclosed in a metal - vinyl covered cable housing. Water collected at the low spot causing rust and the cable to bind up from contamination. Even a stronger return spring,down by the pulley and belt, did not help.
Replacement cable did it.
