best baby diaper rash reducer??
my 5 month old son keeps having alot of bowel movements. It's not diarrhea but he is constantly pooping. His butt has a bad rash and won't go awaty. I have tried the johnsons kind,balmex, baby powder, off brand, and a&d.Everytime it looks a little better it will come back. I have changed the brand of diapers.
i have switched to a cheaper brand of diapers because the expensive ones were breaking him out. and i have been using the same wipes all along. They are the sensitive ones.
my ped told me when my gal had a rough one---desitin is ok, but zinc oxide alone is fine 2 and it's cheaper...clean with a COOL washclothes instead of wipes, use a very thin coat of the cream....as it is a moisture barrier, it works both ways....so make sure baby is DRY be4 putting on cream, bc it will hold it in as well as out....and if possble try 2 give some diaper free time; i got some of those disposable underpads like they use for bedridden folks and put her on those, if any accidents happen, just toss in trash; they r really cheap at sams..no powder, baby doesn't need powder, ever.....if it continues it looks worse, take baby to doc, could need some prescription cream....gl
