I need protective gear which will keep my camcorder safe in a category 5 hurricane and an F5 tornado. I also want to be able to have the LCD screen open while I film, and I don't want the protective gear to cover the lens because I want the best and clearest footage I can get. My camcorder is a Sony and the model number is DCR-TRV 830. Do you need the model number? I live in Manatee county. Any stores close by? How about online?

Use the Ewa-Marine sack, build a plexi-glass or poly-carbonate case (the same stuff used for auto headlamp protective covers) and mount the sheathed camcorder in there. If the outer hard shell is 1/4" or thicker, then it will have hail protection.
