How many Watt is my welder?
I have an Arc welder its 130 amps (i think as an output) and 240v. will my 600w generator enough to power it
Basically the equation is wattage divided by volts equals amperage. So 600 divided by 240 gives an output of 2.5 amps. A normal 130 amp welder will run of a ring main which has a 13 amp fuse in UK.
I have checked some 160 amp welders out and they require 16 amps. So the answer is no, it is way to low. Your welder is probably rated 50 to 130 amps and even at 50 amps you would not have enough amperage.
