Why a 3V button cell cant power a motor that 1.5v AA cell can power?
V=IR and it has nothing to do with the cell capacity so why i cant power my small electric motor with 3 V button cell battery and i can still power the motor with 1.5V AA or AAA battery !!
A battery is rated by how many amps it can produce in an hour, called amp-hours. The 3V button battery cannot produce enough current to move the motor. It's not designed to provide that much current quickly enough. It is designed to dispense it's power at low amounts for a long time.
So the answer is, not enough amps from the battery, fast enough to overcome the resistance of the motor.
Also, please don't try stuff like this, since the button battery could overheat if you try to discharge it too fast.
