Can Plastic pipe(cpvc) be used in place of copper to hook up a tub valve?
Yes w/o a doubt - CPVC for both hot and cold water, PVC for cold only.
A relative painless way to convert from copper pipe to another material is the use of push fit 'sharkbite' type fitting.
