my dryer now has ink stains in it..any advice?
so my pen exploded in the dryer and the ink went everywhere! there is little ink spots all inside of it. I have tried to use bleach, comet, rubbing alcohol, peroxide and nail polish remover. The nail polish remover was doing the best (the other items did not even remove ANY of it) but it didn't remove it completely. should i keep going about it this way or is there anything else i could use? i have heard of using butane or gasoline but then i also heard it takes forever for the smell to go away and i live with roommates. so i don't know if i should use one of them? any other advice? also, there is spots on my clothes and i have bleached what i could but that did not take them out and i do not like oxy-clean ( i do not think it works and yes i have used it before!) Thanks in advance!!
Use hairspray. Pump bottle will work so there are no fumes. I've used hairspray for years to get ink stains off of clothes and furniture and other wonderful places that kids can think of writing on. It should work well on the painted dryer drum. Hairspray dries fast so use a heavy amount on a paper towel or rag and hold it on the stain for a little bit to loosen the ink and wipe off. You may have to do it several times on a heavy spot but it does work. The only surface I would not use hairspray to remove ink is lacquered flooring. Good luck.
