I'm getting a saddle cover for my english saddle.
Its a close contact saddle.
My current cover is a lycra one. The cloth kind. And its got like ten holes in it. I was just wondering if there were downfalls to nylon saddle covers. I've never had one but to me they seem more durable.
Which do you prefer? Nylon or cloth?

i have on in red but it hasnt given me any problems yet. and they are great because they are water, bug, and dirt proof.
you should be fine just watch from time to time on any mold or mildew. Nylon is much more durable and will last you longer than lycra, another alternative it a thick fleece saddle cover wich are VERY nice and look quite elegant to (i spose those would be nice for shows)
