What does having a "smaller capacity nozzle" in my oil furnace mean?
Tonight I had to have an after hours furnace repair. They replaced the nozzles in my oil furnace, but said the one they put in is smaller capacity then the one hey pulled out. What does this mean for me regarding how much oil I use and the comfort of the house?
It means that your furnace was likely installed with the wrong size nozzles. The proper ones they installed will burn with a nice blue flame and should improve the efficiency of your burner. It should save you some money...although it will only be slight. The biggest issue is proper nozzles provide the proper burn.
