why is my welder buzzing like crazy?

its a miller thunderbolt ac dc. i cranked it up a little to run a heavier rod and then it started rattling and wont stop. it also will not even arc. i tried turning it down and it still does it i think its under to much load, guy i called said it was prob the diodes, how do i test them and replace them, detailed please

Take it to a shop to get it repaired. Not meaning to be abrupt but if you dont know whats wrong with it, You shouldn't be trying to repair it.
