Are hot tubs bad for runners the day before a race?
You know, I would actually never have thought anything about this because In college I religiously used the hot tub to relax, recover, and revitalize my muscles. I used it before/ after wrestling tournaments, pretty much all the time. I did some research online about effects on muscles, etc, and it doesn't really seem like there is anything wrong except for your fertility, and blood pressure if you have hypertension.
They did say that there is the possibility of dehydration in the spa if you stay too long, I would drink TONS of water if I had a race the next day.

Actually says there is a benefit to going in the sauna, reduces the amount of lactic acid in the muscles etc. I actually found more websites SUPPORTING going in the spa, than against it! I would say you are looking good!!
