ASAP what to wear to be a nurse, doctor, or their assistant!?
i have to present a skit for lit. and i need to dress up as a nurse or doctor or something! i have a nurses hat but my moms scrubs are too big on me... i dont wanna sped a lot of money though.
People in the medical profession usually dress very closely to each other for scrubs are the most common "uniform" today. If you want to distinguish people, you can use all white scrubs for a nurse, colored scrubs (like pink or light blue) for HHA or assistants, and green or navy blue scrubs for doctors working in the OR, ER, or hospital units. These are usually the interns, residents & other" hands on" doctors who want to protect their regular clothes. Doctors who are just on rounds often wear regular clothes like dark pants & nice shirt with a white lab coat over it. Don't forget the stethoscope on the nurses & doctors. Supervisor Nurses or Head Nurses often also wear a white lab coat just to let people know who is in charge. No one wears nurses caps anymore. The last time I wore mine I had to do CPR on a patient & threw my cap (which had been bouncing along on top of my head) into the sink. Nurses also wear white shoes & stockings or socks & they are often sneaker type for nurses have to be on their feet the whole shift & must be able to move fast at times. Good luck with your skit.
