i need to shrink my knit hat made of yarn?
i need to shrink my hat i just got its a knit hand made hat but its a little to big i need to shrink it how can i do that without ruining it? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=31115406&l=847db3e5b6&id=1099415484 thats a pic of me in the hat
If it's made of wool, you could try washing it by hand in hot water. You'd have to be pretty careful because you don't want it to shrink too much, but if you're gentle you might get it to be the right size. If it's cotton, you could wash it and throw it in the dryer. It actually looks good to me in the photo, but if it's not staying on properly, you could always try wearing a thin headband or hat underneath.
