How can I burn more songs onto a cd that I have already burned some songs on?
I burned a few songs onto a CD and forgot to burn two of them. Is there a way I can get them onto the same CD? There should be plenty of room.
Depends on how you burnt them, really.
OK - in simple terms if you used Media Player to burn a music CD, the answer is a resounding NO as media player is set to produce a finalised audio CD that can be played in any CD player, not just a CD-R recorder.
If you burnt an MP3 disc then there is a possibility depending on whether you choose to finalise the session or not. When you went through the wizard, there would have been a check box as to whether or not to close the session which would prevent anything else being burnt.
What's happening here is that a CD has a section at the front of the track one (known as the lead in area) that holds a menu of what's on the disc, where the tracks start and stuff like that. That's how a CD player can jump from track to track by referring to the listing there. If you didn't close the session, this list will have some space in it ready for the burner to add more information. If the session was closed, there is the equivalent of a big black stroke through that empty area and that stops other tracks being burnt.
Only way to find out is to put the disc in your PC, open up your burning software and see what it says about the disc.
Good luck - I think you might have to burn another disc!
