How much gas would I use in a uhaul truck with a V8 engine if I left it idling for 8 hours with the heater on?
I could save a lot of money by sleeping in the cab of the truck I'm going to be driving cross country. It's a uhaul truck, 10 feet with a V8 engine. I'd like to know how much gas the engine would use idling for 8 hours.
On average about one gallon per hour.
So plan on about 8 gallons.
