Is there a soldering flux that doesn't use halogens?
Basically, I need to know if there is a soldering flux on the market that does not have halogens in it. These halogens are corroding Stainless Steel and getting under the Teflon coating causing pitting. Even after they are washed and everything is perfectly clean before the application of solder, it is still causing problems. How can I get away from using halogens?
You have other options than soldering such as TIG welding .
But if you have to solder a phosphoric acid flux is recommended.
