I need ideas on the best materials for electrodes for my electrolysis machine (the kind that splits water)?
I have built two in the past (one used mild steel electrodes the other used carbon rods) but they both only produced moderate amounts of hydrogen and corroded within a few days
I would really like to know what the ones you buy online and are supposed to give your car better mileage use as electrodes
any tips from people who have built them are appreciated, and i'm not rich so dont say platinum!!!
If you are using this in fresh water copper rods work the best. about 3/4" od. For salt water try alum.
