how do i hide a live electrical cable in the wall without it being a hazard?
i have a normal double plug socket that isnt fixed to the wall in my kitchen due to the fact i removed the cupboard where the plug socket was mounted on top of the cupboard so no i have 10 inches of cable that is connected to a plug socket dangling from the wall. i would like to cut of the plug socket which is not fixed to the wall and the cable and bury the reminding piece of cable into the wall and fill it and paint over. is there a way of me doing this safety without any hazards?
that wire MUST be in a box and MUST remain accessible if it is hot!!!
like said above, either get an old work box, cap the wires with wire nuts and tape them, then put a blank cover on it, or entirely remove that line from the circuit at both ends.
