Research suggests playing football is a better way for women to get in shape than running.

Given that it is the most boring game in the world not to mention the most pointless would you stick on a shiny nylon shirt and kick a ball round a field to get fit?
Yes Peaches but its boring !!I would do the running but without the kicking the ball and spitting bit.
I will stick to powerplates and my slendertone stimulation belt thanks all the same !!
I 'm awful at sports where I have to play as a team...I was always the kid at school screaming at those who dropped the ball in rounders or whatever lol. I'm badly competitive but prefer to rely on myself rather than have to put up with others.
In the intersts of balance I was the one getting bawled at in Netball cos I was crap at it - I couldn't stand the way they put their arm over you as you are trying to throw a shot, plus everyone seemed to be 6ft to my short @rse proportions.
So no - I won't be playing football!
