as a putcher you really arent expected to be a good hiteer but it doesnt hurt to have more than one dimension to your game....i used to be a pitcher as well and my fast ball (2 seamer) maxed out around 73 before i switched sports. since your only a freshman look to increase your speed and and possibly look top learn anothe rposition as well, a player who can do it all decent is better than a player who can do one thing great. also look to improve you durability and see how far yuo can go before you loose yuour edge. pitch simulated games with a friend and count your pitches and see how long it takes for fatigue to sink in. but the most important thing you can do as an athlete in high school is be eligable...keep ur grades up and be in school, you can tplay if your flunking math or have so many absences you know what i mean.
so goals i would set or at6least the ones i had.......
*increase your durabilty by 25 pitches
*keep a gpa of an 80 and no more than 4 or 5 missed days
*learn a new position and stay multi dimensional
*become a better contact hitter...not so much power
