Cord Welder
on a millermatic 175 welder the wire feed speed wont change and the potentiometer is new, the trigger cord?

i dont know if the wire to the gun is the right one the original one the trigger didnt work so we ran a new wire from lowes to the trigger and it works is this possibly my problem
I have done all the neccesary basic things to fix it, mechanically it seems to work the trigger cord was replaced with a cord from lowes, cut and used the old end because the trigger wasnt working, now the speed is set at 100 and wont adjust, i just got a new miller potentiometer and its not that. i was wondering if the trigger cord could be the problem or possibly tensioner how often do those go bad?

I'm not sure i'm understanding the question clearly. But you're saying you're having feeding problems. You've probably done this already but if not... Double check your sizes on the wire spool, tip, and drive roller. Might also want to readjust the tensioner too.
