Can you recap 8 oz glass coke bottles for bottling home brew beer?
I want to bottle home brew beer, and I want to do it cheaply. Buying bottles is expensive. There's a cafe near where I work that sells Coke in the little, "retro" 8 oz coke. They're glass and look about right for accepting a standard bottle cap.
Is it safe to bottle beer in these bottles?
Will they hold up to bottle conditioning?
Will they accept a standard cap applied with a hand capper?
Has anyone had any problems using them?
Is 8 oz too small for decent carbonation to build up during bottle conditioning?

Any bottles will work as long as they are fully sanitized and sealed properly. 8 oz Coke bottles use the same size cap as any other standard beer bottles.
Actually, they would probably look pretty cool...
