Riding Mower Won't "hit"/start.?
Have a Troy Bilt 2003 LT2146 Lawn Tractor taht won't hit, have had the battery checked, replaced the starter/solenoid, battery cables are good, just replaced the ignition. No change. When you rehook all the cables to the battery, it sparks/arcs like crazy. Ideas? It was fine then it wasn't, originally assumed dead battery, wrong.
If you have spark then check for gas. Carb problem of some kind. Do you run premium gas? If not do so from now on those carbs are not doing well with ethonal which regular unleaded has. If you have all good hoses you should take the carb off and get into the Needle and Seat and check all the gaskets. If you need a break down of your carb or tractor I can email them to you. Let me know. But get that electrical straght!
