Good tips on getting better audio quality in guitar cover videos?

The sound from the amp sounds different in the video. That said, the effects I've been using are becoming somewhat useless.

Does anyone know how to improve the quality? Some tips, perhaps, or maybe suggest good ways on recording. Thanks!

What is your audio source?

If you are using a camera attached to your PC, they are designed more for video than audio. Get a better microphone than the standard one built in to the camera. It is cheap and low quality. Garbage in; garbage out....

Does your amp have a line-out? Patch the line-out from the amp to the line-in on the PC and forgo all microphone issues altogether. Direct to digital!
