How do I install this one game from the 80s on my PC now?
It's called King's Quest IV: The Perils of Rosella. It was made for IBM in 1988. I have Windows XP.
When I click "install", it opens Command Prompt and asks me to select from the following adapter/monitor combinations:
CGA with RGB monitor
EGA/VGA with RGB monitor
IBM PS2, Models 25 & 30
Tandy 1000 with RGB monitor
I don't really know what any of those are.
Or maybe I'm going about this the wrong way.
The game is ancient but it's a nostalgia thing, please help...
It's asking what type of video card and monitor setting.
Choose EGA/VGA RGB monitor.
I play an old Titanic game with no problems on Windows xp pro. You may need to change the resolution of your monitor screen, because games that came out years ago, used 640x480,. Hope this helps.
